Eddie's Words

(This message has been edited for spelling and punctuation, otherwise, these are his words written on May 16, 2015.)

Why do people always try to find fault in the next person? Does it make them feel better about themselves? Does it take the attention away from their shortcomings by pointing out everyone else's?
What would happen if we all decided to say let's forget all that, let's forget the past, and let's love
each person the same TODAY? RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.... look over to that little foreign lady next door and with a huge grin on your face say, "Hello, how are you today?"

You don't need to speak English to understand a smile!

That friend that owes you 20 bucks and has been dodging you ever since... how about calling them up and inviting them to lunch. How about forgiving the debt? Did you ever stop and think for a second how bad it might really be for a person who has to call up someone and ask them to borrow 20 bucks for food? For WHATEVER!? I mean, it's only 20 bucks, but if they don't have it, then I guess that they're doing pretty bad.

I know people who have good jobs, who bring home decent money, but are struggling to pay all their bills each month and still have money to support a family! But 20 bucks!?

Just thinking about things like this causes me to forget about everyone else's shortcomings and even my own. This causes me to consider instead, everyone else and their NEEDS!

If we're blessed with more than enough each day, day after day, then wouldn't it be just amazing to be able to go around and, with that blessing, find someone else in need and surprise them with a blessing to fill at least one of those needs for them so they no longer have to worry about shouldering that burden at least for today?!!

This is the message short and sweet: love thy neighbor. Don't just say it, show it. When you show it, they know it! You never know when your blessed days may be over, so be grateful if you're living them, share them while you got 'em. and you'll enjoy 'em that much more!

May God forgive us.
Goodnight all and God bless.
~Eddie
